May Update
What a whirlwind the last two weeks have been. It all started the last week of April. I had multiple order inquiries for Administrative Professionals Day (Wednesday April 25th) and had practically nothing at all to offer. In just two short days we received rain and warm weather and everything exploded. The tulips, daffodils and anemones started blooming their crazy little heads off and we haven't come up for air since.
I am so incredibly happy that it has finally warmed up to stay. The down side of all of this is that I am way way behind on planting.
With tulips you have to pull them three times a day. It is crazy how you can pull at eight in the morning and by noon tulips that didn't even look close to blooming are starting to open up. Between coming home from work on my lunch and my mom helping pull in the afternoon we managed.
I would come home after work and process these armloads of tulips which would take up a good chunk of the evening, therefore I was not getting my starts out into the field.
Wednesday was a big day of planting for me and I am hoping by this time next week I'll be caught up enough to feel like I can breath a little bit easier.
You can definitely say I am happy for these beautiful little buggers to be finished until next year. We are getting ready for Mother's Day this weekend so hope on over to East End Coffee or Squire Brown's this Friday and Saturday to pick up a bouquet for mom (or yourself).
Have a great weekend everyone!
